"Does a sad life suit anyone?" he asked, brushing her hair back.
"No, but I think you deserve this."
"Thank you, Av. What about you? Are you happy?"
She grinned. "Of course I am. I'm with you."
He gave her a slow smile, his eyes warm.
She reached up, kissing him deeply.
He blinked in surprise, but kissed her back, wrapping his arms around her waist.
She sighed, her touch soft. "Let's head back inside, okay?"
He cupped her jaw in his hand for a moment before nodding. "Let's."
She grinned, taking his hand.
They got back to the house and Jack yawned, opening the door for her. "Are you tired?"
She shrugged. "Are you?"
"Not as much as I thought I'd be, to be honest."
She smiled slightly. "Me neither."
"Then what do you want to do?"
She shrugged, brushing his hand.
He kissed her forehead before taking her hand.
She pursed her lips. "I have something in mind.."
"What's that?" he asked comfortably, draping an arm over her shoulder.
"Just lay on the bed."
