They headed down to the hold, where Jack pulled out a large ring of keys to unlock the inventory. "No stealing anything from here, Rohesia," he warned teasingly. "I could lose my job."
"But I like you," he said. "And despite my affection for you, I still feel the need to warn you. What does that say about you?"
"Uh huh," he said, rolling his eyes. "Tell me how the trial goes, seeing as you're wanted in almost every country in the world for stealing."
"What kind of question is that?" she asked teasingly. "You probably wouldn't even know if I took something from you."
"You'd be in big trouble, you know," he warned playfully. "I would probably never be able to trust you again."
She tilted her head and leaned against the wall. "You're welcome. What sorts of things are you looking for?"
"We're trading a lot of tobacco in Maydye," he said, checking something off the list. "Tobacco and tea."
