She opened her arms to him. "If not a kiss, then a hug?"
He gave her a small smile, scooting closer and opening his arms to her.
She grinned, wrapping her arms around him.
He kissed her cheek quickly.
She grinned brighter. "I love you."
"I love you too."
She snuck a quick kiss before pulling away.
He flushed but stood up, taking their plates.
"Thank you."
“Of course.”
She was quiet for a moment. "I.. I might go to the market later."
He frowned slightly. “Are you sure?0
"Will you come with me?"
He softened. “Of course.”
She nodded, looking somewhat relieved. "Thank you."
“What are you going to get?”
"Things we didn't get to yesterday."
“Like cake?”
"Other stuff, mostly."
“Pie.”
