Jack was putting Sawyer and Aubrey to bed.
Avice was on the couch, watching the ceiling as she folded trembling hands.
He came out a couple minutes later, looking over at her.
She glanced at him, her brows furrowing.
“You doing okay?”
He hesitated. "I don't know."
“Do you want to talk about it?”
She shook her head slowly. "Will you sit with me?"
He hesitated before sitting next to her.
She took his hand tentatively. "You.. You don't think less of me, right?"
He looked down in surprise before pulling her into an embrace. "Of course not."
She wrapped her arms around him, shuddering. "Okay.. I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry. Never be sorry for something like this."
She turned her face to his shirt, saying nothing more.
"Are you.. you don't think less of me, right?"
She looked up at him, her expression becoming stern. "Never. I'm glad you were there."
He relaxed, kissing the top of her head. "I love you."
"I love you too.. Also I forgot the pie."
"Don't worry. I'll manage."
