Avice was asleep the next morning, her arms around him.
Jack was stretched out, more so than Avice, but his arms were still around her protectively.
She shifted, sighing slightly.
He sighed, pulling her close.
Her eyes fluttered, and she looked around in confusion for a moment.
He murmured in his sleep, turning to her.
She blinked before relaxing, wrapping her arms around him.
He sighed, burying his face in her hair. "I love you..."
She sighed, relaxing. "I love you."
He was still asleep.
She smiled, closing her eyes.
He shifted, pulling her close to his chest.
She relaxed, taking his his familiar scent.
He stretched out, flopping back onto the bed.
She was quiet, drifting off.
He shifted awake a while later, blinking sleepily.
She had fallen back asleep, keeping close to him.
He brushed his fingers through her hair.
