He gave her a quick peck before returning to his work. "Six cases of chai, two racks of cardamom," he muttered under his breath.
He looked up at her, his bright blue eyes contrasting with his brown hair. "Hello," he said, grinning.
"Certainly took you long enough," he teased, his hands on her back. He kissed her cheek. "I was beginning to feel like there wasn't any hope."
She squinted at him, but there was a still a playful grin on her face. "There's always hope, Curnow."
