She nodded. "I'm sure she'll be happy to hear from you."
“Do you think she likes me?”
"I know she does."
“Then why won’t she take me on the boat?”
"We'll ask her."
"I'm gonna go get my crayons," she said hurriedly, slipping off the bed and heading for the door.
She nodded, a small smile on her face.
Jack laughed slightly, leaning back in the pillows.
She turned to look at him. "Would she like the ship?"
He looked hesitant. "She probably would. It wouldn't really be safe for her, though."
Avice frowned. "Oh.."
"We could let her visit, though."
"I think she would like that a lot."
"I think she would too. Plus, Nat likes her."
She nodded, leaning back.
He leaned over and rested his forehead on her shoulder. "Don't worry."
She nodded, kissinh the top of his head.
Aubrey ran back in, wielding a fist full of crayons and some parchment. "I got them!"
Avice chuckled. "Great. Is there anything you want to say specifically?"
"Dear Nat, I want to go on the boat. Aubrey."
