She glanced at him, nodding. "I know."
He was gasping for breath, his arms shaking as he watched her. "Thank... thank you."
She nodded out of breath, resting her forehead on her arms.
He offered a hand to her, his brow furrowed. "Let me help you up."
"It's alright," she murmured, sitting up. "I've got it. Are you okay?"
He nodded, sitting up. "Yeah. What was that?"
"A siren. There's sirens around here. I hate sirens."
He laughed slightly. "Really? I wouldn't have guessed."
She nodded. "Jeez. I was not ready for that."
"I'm sorry to have caused this."
"It's not your fault. Sirens are tricky creatures."
"I didn't even know about them."
"Well.. At least you do now. The circumstances kinda suck, though."
He laughed lightly. "That they do."
"At least you're okay.'
"Ugh. I can't believe I was so stupid."
"You didn't know. It's okay."
"I really am sorry."
"It was just a bit scary, is all," she said, touching the small cut. "Little harm done."
"Here. We should get that fixed up."
