She closed the door behind them, locking it before turning to him and taking his hand. "What happened? Are you okay?"
He was shaking and he nodded slowly, looking down at the ground for a moment. "He, uh... he tricked me. He fooled me into believing that you had been lying to me this whole time."
"I just..." He ran his hand through his hair, looking almost ashamed. "I just wanted to take a second, you know? Kinda get my bearings. But you're right, we should go."
She paused, her expression thoughtful before she took a deep breath. "No.. We can take our time. You can adjust." Her hand rested on his shoulder reassuringly. "It must have been hard, remember everything and escaping.." Sje sighed. "They don't know where we are. We'll be okay for a bit."
"They'll be looking, though," he said nervously, glancing at the window. "It's... it's okay. We can go. It's okay. I'm okay. Are you okay?"
She carefully sat him down at the edge of the bed, looking thoughtful. "I'm.. I'm fine. I'm glad your okay and that you remember who I am."
