She pulled him close, burying her face in his shirt.
He leaned back on the bed, wrapping her arms around her waist.
She glanced up, watching him carefully. "I love you."
He exhaled tiredly. "I love you too."
She kissed his temple gently, running a hand through his hair.
He leaned into her touch hungrily, closing his eyes.
She relaxed, shutting her eyes as well.
"I'm so tired, Avice..."
She brushed his hair back gently. "Sleep, okay? I'll be here."
He exhaled slightly, opening his eyes to look at her. "Okay. Don't go without waking me, okay?"
She nodded, giving him a small, reassuring smile. "Alright."
He buried his face in her neck, closing his eyes again.
She shut her eyes as well, keeping close.
He fell asleep quickly, his grip loosening.
She followed a bit after, drifting off.

Jack was fast asleep.
Avice shifted awake, her eyes fluttering.
His face was buried in her neck, his arms around her.
