He continued to work, cleaning her wound and pumping various medications into her system. "Come on, Av," he murmured as he worked. "Come on."
Her eyes fluttered open, but when she murmured her voice was quiet. "Ah..." She winced, hands shaking.
"Hi," she said with a small smile, though her voice seemed rough. After a moment, she frowned looking down. "I got hurt?"
"I worry about you," she said stubbornly, going to shift but wincing when she moved too much. "Did I kill the people?"
She grinned at the ceiling. "You can tell me the truth," she said, though her tone seemed sad. "I'm sorry for letting this happen."
He sighed and kneeled down next to her, pulling their hands to his forehead and hiding the tear that slipped down his face. "I love you too, Av," he muttered, wiping it away subtly. "More than you know."
She didn't seem to notice it, and instead took his face in her hands, which were no longer cold. "Can I have a kiss?"
She rested her hands on the side of his neck before shifting uncomfortably. "Why does being stabbed hurt So much?"
