She chuckled. "No. Do you take me for one?"
"I don't know you."
"But you've met me, for the most part. I mean, we're dancing now, aren't we?"
"You make a good point, but I dance with everyone."
She raised her eyebrows at him playfully. "Is that what you said to the other girl you turned down?"
"Hm. Maybe you're special, then."
"Just maybe," she replied easily.
"What's your name?"
She looked thoughtful. "If I tell you then It's less of a masquerade, isn't it?"
"I suppose that's true..."
"I mean, you can guess if you want. I doubt you'll get it."
"Hm. I'm not sure I want to."
She laughed. "Probably a good choice. Do I look familiar?"
"Vaguely, but I haven't met many people with masks."
She smiled. "That's fair."
"What brings you to the ball?"
"Just a friend.."
"A friend? Who?"
"I doubt you'd know them."
