"Only when I want to look pretty," she joked.
“I see. Mission accomplished.”
She flushed slightly. "Huh?"
"You look very pretty."
"Oh.. Thank you."
"You're welcome"
"You look nice as well."
He beamed at her. “Thank you, Avice. Do you want to go back in, or do you want to go for a walk?”
She glanced back at the ball. "Maybe a walk."
“Why did you even come?” he chided playfully.
"Because your sister wanted me to spend time with you!"
“I’m the only reason? I’m flattered.”
"I mean.. Yeah."
"You're welcome to go home, if you wish. She shouldn't hold you ransom."
"She isn't holding me ransom. Believe it or not, I like spending time with you."
He laughed deeply, beginning to walk, his hands in his pockets. "You barely know me, Ms. Rohesia."
She followed. "That hardly means anything."
"Sure it does. You can enjoy my company, but you barely know what my company is."
"Then give me the opportunity to learn."
He squinted at her before shrugging. "Fine then."
