She went to grab something small before approaching him, holding a small seed out to him. "It's a sunflower."
He looked down at the seed for a moment before looking up at her, his face impossibly sad. There was a pause for a moment before he leaned over and kissed her gently, his nose brushing hers.
He did pull away after a moment, his face mere inches from hers and there was a beat of silence. "I... God, I'm sorry," he said, straightening up and heading for the door.
