"You still seem worried."
"Mm. It's fine."
"I love it here. I love you. Okay?"
She sighed, watching him. "I love you too."
"Is that an okay?"
"Yes, it is."
"Good," he said, kissing the top of her head. "Don't be sad."
"I'm never sad when you're around," she teased.
"That so?"
"Yup."
"Well, I'm glad to hear that."
She nodded, lying back and watching the ceiling. "I love you.:
He reached over and brushed her hair back. "I love you too."
She leaned into his touch. "I'm gonna go out to the kitchen now."
"Okay, have fun."
She nodded, standing up and kissing his cheek before heading out.
He continued unpacking.
She went to the kitchen, greeting her mother and father as she helped.
He came down a few minutes later, approaching quietly.
She was chopping carrots next to a woman who's hair appeared the same color, their back facing him.
