Pirates! (One-on-One)

Loud fiddle music made it through the door of the tavern and Tuck considered the place.

"Ready?"

 

He took a deep breath before opening the door.

The music amplified and dancers swirled around the room, doing jumps and spins and laughing breathlessly.

 

"I don't recognize that dance," Tuck said thoughtfully.

 

"You're right. It does."

 

He glanced at her before taking her hands and going into the thick of it.

 

Surprisingly, he didn't do too terribly. She would see what he meant by his inability to be fluid, but he had the timing down pretty well.

 

He picked her up and spun her with the rest of the crowd, kissing her as he let her down.

 

"I love you," he said quietly.

 

"Even though I'm not a good dancer?"
