Natalia gave them a cold look as they passed before gesturing to the rowboats. "We're about to depart," she said stiffly. "Quickly, now."
Jack shot his sister a look before helping Avice into the rowboat. "Don't worry about her," he whispered in Avice's ear. "She's just grumpy."
Jack stepped onto the dock wearily before extending a hand down to Avice. "It hasn't changed," he said softly.
"Fairly well," he replied. He squeezed her hand for comfort and inhaled deeply. "It's where I grew up, after all."
His jaw was tight from nerves, and he squeezed her hand as Natalia came over to join them. "Let's go," she said stiffly as she began walking.
Natalia pulled up her hood, and Jack did the same. "We have to keep hidden," he murmured to her. "I would put your hood up if I were you."
