"That's very kind, but that was in the past, and there's no point in starting things up again." She sighed. "It'd be fun to watch, though."
"Are you? Y'know, I don't think I've seen you fight yet," she said teasingly. "Maybe awhile ago, but none recently that I can recall."
"I don't like to fight if I can help it," he said thoughtfully. "I was training to be a doctor once. This amount of violence wasn't really in my plans."
"I'm a wanted pirate, Avice," he said quietly. "I'd be captured the moment I tried to rejoin civilization. Besides, the captain needs me here."
He shook his head, a small smile crossing his face. "Don't worry. It's nice that you asked. I like it here, too. I'm not unhappy with my life."
"Of course," she said, thinking carefully. "I've always just wanted to do something peaceful, really, like painting."
"You would?" she asked, the turned her head towards the windows. "Cause who would voluntarily clean the cannons, right?"
