She sighed. "I was just saying."
"I dislike arguing with you."
She kissed his cheek. "I don't like it either. I'm sorry."
"No, don't be sorry, baby," he said. "Just stay by me."
She squeezed his hand. "I will."
They walked through the dirty streets, hand in hand. "Do you need to pick up any supplies here?"
She shook her head. "Not that I can think of right now."
He grinned. "No paintbrushes?"
"They last awhile," she said. "I might get some paint or something later."
"What kind of paint?"
"Blue maybe," she said idly. "Red."
"You should paint the house," he suggested. "I'd like to see how you envision it."
She brightened. "I could do that!"
He kissed her cheek. "I'd love to see it."
She grinned. "I'll do it."
"Excellent! I'm looking forward to it."
She laughed brightly. "Me too."
They approached a bar, and he frowned. "This is where he told me to meeet him."
Avice crossed her arms playfully. "Classy."
"He's a classy guy," he said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "You'll see."
