"Hm." She grinned. "Makes sense to me."
"We should do a psychoanalysis," he teased, grinning at her, "when we get back on land."
She squinted at him. "That's not necessary."
"What? Don't you want to solve the mystery of your own mind?"
"No," she decided. "I'm fine the way I am."
He laughed deeply. "You and I are very different people."
"That's okay, though!"
"It is," he agreed, kissing her cheek. "It's great, as a matter of fact."
She cocked her head. "It is?"
"Mmmhm. Now you'll never grow bored of me."
She rested her head on her hand. "I could never get bored with you, Curnow."
"Just you wait. Most old people become senile. I just get boring."
She grinned. "I don't believe you."
"Who do you think knows me better? You or me?"
She pursed her lips. "Me."
He squinted at her before shrugging. "You're probably right, to be honest."
She grinned. "Told you."
"Does that mean that I know you better than you do?"
She tilted her head thoughtfully. "Probably. What's my favorite food?"
"Nothing, because you don't eat."
