She kissed him back immediately, her hand resting softly on his shoulder.
"You continue to surprise me, you know that?" he mumbled as he shifted to plant kisses on her jaw.
Her brows furrowed slightly. "I do?"
“You do. I think I know you pretty well, but you still manage to surprise me, day after day.”
She tilted her head slightly. "And that's good, right?"
“That’s wonderful,” he told her.
She smiled softly, her dropping. "I'm glad."
He laughed, returning to kissing her neck. “You’re so cute.”
She shook her head stubbornly. "Nuh uh."
“You are. Adorable, really.”
She gave him a playful glare. "No I'm not! You are!"
“I am not. I’m intimidating.”
She shook her head quickly. "I'm the intimidating one!"
He laughed, his nose crinkling. “Babe, that’s just not true.”
She squinted at him. "Yes it is! I mean, just look at me!"
“Yes,” he agreed. “You’re adorable.”
She threw her hands up. "Liar!"
“Baby, please,” he said, brushing back her hair.
She squinted at him. "Hmph."
“You’re adorable. Okay?”
