"I'm not a dad! So I don't need to make dad jokes!"
"But you still need to be prepared!"
"Are you imagining that I'll be a dad relatively soon?"
She squinted at him. "No. Sorry."
He huffed, but gave her a grin. “Oh well. No dad jokes, then.”
She nodded his nose. "Great."
“Is there such thing as a mom joke, though?”
She shook her head. "No way."
“I’m sure there is. We just have to figure it out.”
"Mom jokes are weak," she said, inspecting the twine. "Dad jokes are better."
He took her hand and kissed it. “But we haven’t defined mom jokes yet!”
"Dad jokes are better," she said. "That's that."
“Hm. So, you’re saying I’m funnier than you?”
"Do you think you're funnier?"
“Of course not. Don’t tell anyone, but I’m actually not very funny. I just laugh a lot.”
She kissed his cheek. "I think you're funny, but it could be because I have a crush on you."
“Do you, now?” he asked with a grin.
She nodded. "Definitely. A huge one."
“That’s good. I have a crush on you too.”
"That's good," she said. "I guess that's why we're married now, huh?"
