He buried his face in her hair, wrapping his arms around her in an embrace. He sighed contentedly before closing his eyes, humming slowly under his breath.
He fell asleep gradually, the worry lines between his brows smoothing out, his dark brown curls flopping over his closed eyes. He breathed deeply in his sleep, making tiny shifts occasionally. His face seemed younger as he dozed, the light sprinkling of freckles across his nose making his gentle expression look more boyish than serious.
Avice smiled softly, brushing his hair back and kissing his forehead, careful not to wake him before relaxing again, stretching her arms.
Thicket was bustling. There was a certain cheer in the air, even though the air was crisp. The sailors walked with purpose on the rickety dock, their eyes bright with their task. The group from the Calypso's Revenge stepped off the rowboat, looking around almost apprehensively.

He followed her, squeezing her hand. "So, we're supposed to meet at the Faithless Kipper," he said, speaking slowly. "It's a bar in town."
