His fingers lightly brushed her hair from her face, and he cupped her jaw in his hand. "It's up to you," he said quietly.
She watched him for a moment, before embracing him. At first, she was unsure about it, but eventually relaxed. "You're amazing."
He laughed, and wrapped his arms around her, his hands resting on her back. "I don't want to forget this," he said quietly. "Please don't let me forget."
"I do listen. I was in denial. You have to be clear with me," she said, mindlessly running her hands through his hair.
"Have I been clear enough?" he asked, turning his head into her neck. "Should I be more clear than this?"
"Then I'll have to tell you what happened," she said, pulling away for a moment, only to kiss his nose. "That work?"
He said nothing, only wrapping his arms around her small frame as they kissed. His fingers grazed her jaw with feathery touches.
After a moment her mouth moved to his ear, and her voice was quiet. "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you. Try to remember that, okay?"
