"Yeah," he muttered. "Give me just a second. I have to do something." He pulled away, slipping off the bed and turning away from her. He snapped his fingers with a frown, his shoulders tense, his back blocking his hands.
He hesitated, glancing at her over his shoulder, the flames illuminating his eyes. "Well, yeah. If I don't do the magic for a while, it starts to really hurt. That's mostly why it was so frustrating yesterday when you didn't leave."
He laughed slightly, getting back into bed next to her. "You didn't know because I didn't tell you, baby. Please don't worry about it"
"It can be pretty bad. It starts in my hands and as time goes on, it travels up to my torso. It feels like it's something wrong with my veins or something."
