She nodded. "Exactly!"
"That does not make me happy," he said, still tense. "You're going to kill me."
She opened her arms to him. "Okay, I won't tickle you!"
He didn't hug her, eyeing her suspiciously.
She hesitated, pulling her hands back. "I see how it is."
"Mmhm. This is your punishment."
"But.. for how long?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Forever!"
She gasped, her eyes wide. "No hugs forever?!"
"Uh huh. You brought this on yourself."
"I won't surviiiive!"
"You've survived for 20 something years without my hugs; you can manage."
She shook her head. "Now that I've had it I can't just get rid of it."
He had to smile. "Like a drug?"
"Exactly!" she said. "Now I'm going to relapse and have to find someone else to hug."
"You wouldn't cheat on me like that."
"If I don't get hugs, I'm going to hug someone else. I have no control."
"I would think you would have enough control not to cheat on me, Av."
She groaned, crossing her arms. "I'm just joking. Can I please have a hug? Pretty please?'
He squinted at her before reluctantly opening his arms.
