She reached for his hand. "Nooo! My favorite person!"
"You squished my face."
"It's cause you're cute! I promise!"
"So you squished my cuteness?"
"Please come baaaack! I want my babe!"
"Is that all I am to you? A babe?'
"Well, you're a babe, but you're also my babe. And I want you back."
"Uh huh. Go give a pie to another babe. You'll get over it."
"No I won't! You're the only babe for me!"
"Evidently not."
"Yes you are! I'm gonna cry, I swear!"
"You wouldn't."
"Try me, Curnow. You've threatened to leave one too many times tonight."
"And I really mean it this time."
"I'm gonna cry."
"Uh huh. And I'm leaving."
She sniffled, her expression sad and eyes wide. "You wouldn't leave me.."
He sighed, looking down at her lovingly. "No, probably not," he agreed.
She nearly smiled, but kept the expression up. "But.. But you threatened to.."
"Well, it all depends on how I'm feeling."
