"Want to capture one?" A boyish grin crossed his face and his expression was one of cheeky mischief. "Unless you're scared?"
"Would it impress you?" he asked. "I don't think you'd like a bouquet of flowers: what about a shark?"
"Still," she said. "You don't need to do anything to impress me. You're already good enough that your presence is a gift."
He watched her carefully as they floated next to the ship. The moon reflected on the smooth sea, and still he looked at her, as if she were the only thing worth looking at. "I quite like you, Rohesia," he said decisively, nodding his head.
She looked at him, her eyes shining in the moonlight. "Do you?" she asked, though it was more rhetorical. "It's nice to hear you say that."
"I do," he said as a ladder was thrown from the ship for them to climb up. "I have for a while, but it's nice to say it out loud."
She smiled, and the slight blush that appeared on her face would be difficult to see. She began to climb up, occasionally checking back at him, just to make sure.
