"That's right," she said, turning her head to look up at him. "Any way you are, I will always love you. Okay? No matter what."
She stood there a for a moment before looking up at him, reluctance on her face. "You should probably go to bed."
"Sleep? Sleep is for losers," he said before looking up at the sky. "Although, you're right. We should probably sleep."
"I'd do it more often," she said, leading him. "But I didn't think you would want me to spend time with you this late."
"I don't know," she said softly. "I didn't know you felt that way at the time. I was sure you didn't like me."
"Oh, don't be silly," he said kindly, slurring his words slightly. "I'd be a fool to miss someone like you."
He turned to face her with a small smile. "Hm. Well, you're my favorite. Out of all the things. All of them."
She grinned at him as they stood outside the door. "I'm glad the feeling is mutual," she said, her head tilting. "I love you."
He watched her carefully before kissing her deeply, his hand coming up to brush her neck. "I love you too."
