“No, but there is a lot of work involved,” he said slowly. “And paperwork.”

 

He gave her a grin.

“And I am very good at paperwork.”

 

He pouted, folding his arms.

“My handwriting is fine.”

 

“But you do think my handwriting is bad,” he said sadly, shaking his head.

 

“Everyone always compared me to my sister.”

 

“I have great handwriting.”

 

He nodded, satisfied.

“I do. Thank you for noticing.”

 

They stepped outside and he kissed her forehead.

“Okay. Let’s head out. Are you warm enough?”

 

“I am, but I’m not the sick one. Maybe we should get you something warm to drink. Tea or something.”

 

“But you should drink some,” he said decisively. He kissed the back of her hand. “Come on. We’ll find some.”
