He took them and cleared his throat before clicking his tongue.

“Let’s go, Mack.”

The horse grunted before beginning to trot, his ears flicking.

 

He kissed the top of her head quickly.

“You’re smirking at me.”

 

“Yes. You think I’m going to mess up.”

 

“When you think you will fail, you will do as you thought.”

 

“You’re just being petulant. I am a genius.”

 

"A genius who knows the art of horse riding."

 

"Bull. Look how well we're moving."

 

"But he moved for me. That's saying something."

 

"But look how happy he is. That's because of me."
