"Close to the ocean, check."

 

"Yes, we do!" he said fiercely. "We just have to wait for them, I guess."

 

"Mmhm. I mean, if this is going to be our place, it needs to have fireflies, right?"

 

He gave her a big kiss on the cheek before looking around.

"Let's figure out who we'd have to talk to about buying this."

 

He nodded, pulling her forward.

"Keep an eye out for any buildings, okay?I'm not very sharp-eyed."

 

"I don't think so. I wouldn't get them, regardless. I don't trust anything that close to my eyes."

 

“I don’t need them. I’m fine.”

 

He beamed at her, his eyes soft.

“What would I do without you?”

 

“Probably not. You’re my only life line.”

 

“You said it yourself. I’m dead in the water without you.”
