"No," she said firmly. "I didn't. I wouldn't want anyone but you. Despite what you believe, I know what I am doing."
He hesitated, brushing back her hair. “I can’t believe you. I can’t do that.” He kissed her forehead. “But I’ll do my best to be the kind of person who deserves you.”
“You do know, I think. Deep down, I think you know and I have to just appreciate this while I still have the chance.”
In that moment she looked terribly sad. "No, baby.. Don't think like that.. P-please don't think like that.."
She shook her head. "It's- It's not okay. Don't think like that.. I love you more than life itself.. It's real. It's real. I wouldn't.. I wouldn't ever leave you because I love you.. And we're going to have a house and kids.."
He frowned, kissing the top of her head “Okay. Okay. I’ll believe you,” he said, although his tone clearly indicated otherwise.
"But you don't," she replied, before pulling her hands towards herself. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm being needy and annoying."
She looked away with uncertainty. "You don't believe that I love you as much as I do.. And it's not fair, but I know you won't change your mind and I keep pressing.." She trailed off. "I'm sorry."
