He ran his fingers through her hair, holding her tightly. "Okay. I believe you," he said, although his voice conveyed otherwise. "Just don't be sad, okay? It's okay. Everything's okay."
He kissed her cheek, although his face was resigned. "Finding the house. You should sleep if you can, okay?"
She nodded slightly before pulling back and taking his face in her hands. Her touch was gentle, and she watched him for a moment before leaning in and kissing him softly. "I love you."
He sighed against her mouth before kissing her back, his arms holding her tightly. "I love you too, Av."
(Zoop.) Several Weeks Later. Jack set down the heavy armchair in the corner, panting slightly. He adjusted it before nodding, stepping back with satisfaction.
