Aubrey looked around, her blue eyes wide as they walked down the path. “She has such a curious face,” Jack noted.
She rolled her eyes playfully, before holding Aubrey out to him. "Of course you're allowed, Jack. You're her dad."
He grinned at her before kissing her forehead, bouncing slightly with her in his arms. "Who's the most brilliant baby in the world? You are."
"You? Never, Av." The park was full of people on the warm spring day, kids running and playing while their parents sat in the sun. There was one lone figure, however, who stood there watching them, her expression something of disbelief.
"You're both of our favorites, Av. Don't worry." "Tuck?" Jack froze, his blue eyes widened and he glanced up, holding Aubrey protectively. The girl in front of him had long, honey brown hair and large hazel eyes. Her skin was lightly tanned and clear. There was a faint smattering of freckles across the bridge of her petite nose and her face was vaguely pixie-like. Her lips were slightly parted as she regarded him, her expression something of shock. "Is that... really you?"
