"Don't we kind of have to eventually?" he asked, wrinkling his nose. "I may not have completed med school, but I'm pretty sure humans die at some point."
"Immortal life plan," he said, looking at her affectionately. "We'll have to keep each other amused. Forever is an awfully long time."
He turned his head to look at her, surprised. He watched her for a moment before taking her face in his hands, his fingers warm and sure, and he kissed her. "I could spent an eternity with you, too," he said quietly. "In fact, I don't think I'd want to spend an eternity without you."
Her fingers delicately rested on the side of his neck. "Isn't it weird how this is only the beginning?"
