She sighed and shrugged. "If you can figure it out, then go for it. Just know that I won't be heartbroken if you can't figure it out."
"Anyway, do you have any suspicions?" Bridget pinched her lips together. She was hiding something. "No."
She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. "Okay. Look. There's one other guy, and he's... he's probably the dad."
"Just... some cabin boy. He doesn't matter. But listen, if either of them find out about him, they'll both leave me. "
"You're afraid of them leaving you after you went with some cabin boy?" She shook her head. "If they truly love you, then they will be patient, and try to work things out."
She rolled her eyes. "That kind of thinking only exists in fairy tales, Rohesia," she said. "Think about it. If he cheated on you-" she gestured to Jack "-would you be forgiving?"
She glanced at Jack thoughtfully. "I think we'd need to talk about it, and then come to an understanding of what would happen next." She then frowned. "I also would trust him not to cheat in the first place."
Bridget frowned before sighing. "You know what? I don't need your judgement. I can figure this out myself."
"Right. Thanks. I don't need you two. Your job is done." Her jaw tight, she returned to the room and slammed the door.
