She sighed, obviously weary. “I’m aware, Avice. But even more so that usual. We don’t know if they know where you are and we don’t know where they are. So we’re at a disadvantage here. Keep alert. If someone even looks at you suspiciously, I want you to send out the pigeon, okay?”
She nodded slowly, passing Aubrey back to her. “He’s really sly, Avice. Seriously. You can think that he has no idea where you are, but he knows.”
