“I would love some stew,” he said, sitting up.
She smiled slightly, handing him the bowl.
He held it in his battered hands, blinking sleepily.
She rested against him, her eyes soft. "Do you want to sleep after this?"
“Sure,” he said slowly. “Maybe a little.”
She rested her head on his shoulder, placing an arm around him. "Alright."
He kissed her temple, his hand on her back. “I’m sorry I’m such a bore.”
She looked up at him. "No way, baby. You're perfect in my eyes."
“Perfect is a strong word...”
"..In my eyes."
“But I’m no God, Av. I’m just a guy.”
She sighed quietly. "I know, but I really love you and I care about you a lot."
He frowned, shaking his head. “I don’t like that.”
"..That I care a lot about you?"
“The flattering. It’s really hard.”
She looked down. "I'm sorry."
“No, no. Don’t apologize. Damaged goods, remember?”
"I should know better by now."
“It’s not you, Av. It’s my messed up brain.”
She frowned, before reaching up to kiss his cheek. "Well you're still in my favorites."
