He caught the punch in the palm of his hand and tilted his head. "Here's what we're going to do," he said, his voice deadly quiet. "I'm going to give you a choice. "Either you tell me where your baby is, and I kill Jack swiftly and mercifully. That's option number one. Number two, you tell me nothing, and I make sure he suffers. Take your pick."
Her expression remained stoic and hateful, with a glare that could shake a soul. "You can do that if I don't slit your throat in these next few minutes."
"That may be so," he said with a nod. "But even if you do manage to get close enough to me, I have several gunmen trained on your head right now. Let me assure you. If you die, your husband and your baby will face... unpleasant circumstances."
He grinned, exposing bright, straight teeth. "Excellent. Option Three." He stepped forward and directed a sharp kick into Jack's side. Jack gasped before a dull groan escaped his throat, curling around the area, his forehead resting against the concrete.
"A choice, Ms. Rohesia. I grow impatient." Jack made eye contact with his, his eyes distant as he rapidly faltered. "It's alright, Av," he said, his voice raspy. "Just pick her, okay? Don't say anything."
He nodded slowly before turning his attention back to Jack, hunkering down beside him. "Hello, Tuck. You ready?" Jack watched him, but said nothing. Knox nodded before pulling out a knife. "Right, then."
Knox turned quickly as guns fired above, narrowly missing Avice. He shoved her back, the knife avoiding vital organs but hitting his arm. He hissed, his eyes wide with a mad fury. "Big mistake, Avice," he said quietly, standing up slowly. "Big, big mistake."
She watched with an intense ferocity, gripping Jack's arm and pulling with a new urgency. "*squee!* you."
Jack tried to move, but his mobility was limited and he managed to get propped up against the wall before he had to stop, gritting his teeth. Knox looked down at them for a moment before moving quickly, grabbing Jack and forcing him into a chokehold with the knife to his throat.
