Jack woke up several hours later, his head still aching, but better. He sat up as gingerly as he could, blinking blearily.
Her eyes fluttered, and she looked up at him. She said nothing at first, reaching to feel his forehead. "Hi."
She nodded. "Yeah. It was bad. You got out of bed and.. and I came back to you on the floor and I had to put you back and I hurt you-" she cut herself off taking a breath. "You said i broke your heart every day but I'm not sure what you meant by it.."
"You break my heart when you leave," he explained, kissing the tip of her nose. "When you leave me for anything, it makes me sad. You fix it when you return."
