"See, that's the problem wth you only children," he continued. "You think you can just tell people to 'shut up.' That isn't nice, you know."
He hesitated, and then grinned down at her. "You got me there. Maybe we're both just unpleasant, then."
She wasn't quite expecting it, and tensed at first, but didn't shrug away. "I was just teasing. I think you're good."
She looked at at him, her expression discernable before she reached up and kissed his cheek. "It's okay. It's not your fault."
"I should have remembered," he said sheepishly before rubbing the back of his neck. "It's just my instinct."
" I should be remembering it now too," he insisted. "You shouldn't feel like you need to be worried about being touched when you don't want to be."
