Jack stood just above the stairs, leaning back against the wall and bouncing Aubrey slightly. "It's okay, baby," he murmured. "It's okay."
She would be hidden away in the small storage room, between two crates as she kept her knees pulled close.
It was one of the last places he looked and he opened the door, taking a deep breath. "Avice? You in here?"
There were small tears in her eyes, and she didn't meet his gaze. "I love you so much and it gets stressful sometimes.. Everything gets stressful with the compliments and Aubrey and my mind. It gets to be a lot sometimes when I have everything racing through my head and all I should care about is you and Aubrey."
She went to him, squeezing her eyes just. "I feel like I just.. naturally show love in compliments and I can't do that with you."
