"Really?" he asked, giving her a cheeky smile as he brushed her hair out of her face. "What's wrong with the present?"
He grinned before kissing the top of her head. "Good. I'm glad to hear that. I'd be pretty sad if you left."
He frowned. "I don't know if I can," he said quietly. "I have a job to do. Besides, I'm a wanted man. I can't really do anything else."
"Jobs don't last forever, you know," she commented. "And I doubt people will recognize you, if you really wanted that."
"Hm," he murmured, kissing the top of his hair. "I don't think I could leave the ocean completely. I'd have to live by the water, I think."
"Hm," he murmured, and she would be able to hear the smile in his voice. "I don't think I'd like it to be too crowded."
He grinned at her before kissing the tip of her nose. "Is quietness the only thing that you care about?"
"No," she replied. "I just think it's nice. I mean, have you ever just sat and watched the ocean on a quiet night? It's amazing."
