She ignored him momentarily. "Can I really have a cat?!"
"Lie down," he said, looking down at her.
She slowly went back down. "Can I?"
He squinted before sighing. "Yeah."
She clapped her hands excitedly. "This is the best day of my life!"
"You... you had a baby. And married me."
"The best day, Jack."
"Gotcha. Well, I'll be back. Any specific type?"
She tapped her chin. "Any kind!"
"Gotcha. Take care of Aubrey?"
She nodded. "Of course. Stay safe."
"You know me."
She reached for a kiss, her eyes warm.
He gave her a small smile, leaning down and giving her a kiss.
"Also, having Aubrey and marrying you were one of the best days too."
"Can't fix it now, Rohesia."
"Hmph. Fine."
"I'll see you," he said warmly, heading for the door.
She pulled Aubrey close, kissing her forehead.
