Spoiler: Natalia Woops I need to fix this (For @Eluuna ! I know it's not great, but that is because it's three in the morning. Besides, there will be more! Also, I didn't really spend a lot of time shading or anything ;-; )
(Pretty sure my heart just stopped. That is amazing! Her expression is exactly what I'd imagine it to be.) He reached in with another 'jacket', and took another bird, this one smaller and more compact looking. "He's probably the friendliest one," he said, pointing to Hugo, "but he really acts his best when Eda is around." He held up the smaller pigeon. "To be honest, I think he has a bit of a crush on her."
(I'm glad you like it!) "Aww, that's so cute. I didn't know birds could have crushes. I thought they just didn't care." Avice shrugged.
"At least you're not a stupid brute like other sailors on here." He said, smiling a little. "How about we break the ice down in the kitchen. I'll prepare a couple of drinks. Let's not make our partnership an awkward one." He suggested.
(I love it.) Jack shrugged. "I'm actually not sure they do," he admitted. "But Hugo always behaves better when she's around." *** Ellia smiled back. "We can, but I have to warn you, I don't really drink much."
"Not an issue." Jared said. He began to make his way to the kitchen. He looked back and beckoned Ellia to follow.
Jack stood up and walked behind the kneeling Avice. She would feel the pigeon's feet on her head as he placed one on her hair. *** Ellia hesitated, and felt her knife in her belt. She wanted to be civil, of course, but it would be foolish to go unprotected into an isolated area with someone she barely knew while a killer was on the loose. She felt the handle and took a deep breath, and then followed him.
The pigeon's weight shifted and it suddenly jumped from Avice's head and landed in her lap. There was a silence from Jack. "Nope, no birds up here."
Avice stared at the bird for a moment, then turned to Jack. "I really thought I there was something in my hair for a second there."
Avice offered him Hugo, holding the bird out towards him. "I dunno," she said sarcastically, "I could just be going crazy." A skeptical look crossed her face.
"Me too. But I think that if it came down to it, I'd prefer to teleport," Jack said thoughtfully. He returned Hugo to his cage, removing the jacket in one swift motion.
Avice picked up Eda from her lap, and stood up. She placed the bird back into the cage, then, copying Jack, removed the jacket as well.
"Good one," Jack said, closing the cage with deft fingers. He slid the lock closed and then went to the back of the cage. There, a slot was attached to the cage, with a little funnel for pouring food in. Jack picked up a bucket, regained his balance, and then began to pour seed in.
