“Okay. Well, let’s go down. Give me a moment.” He flapped his wings, pulling her into his arms before dropping to the ground gently, setting her down.
After a moment a woman opened up the door. She didn't look much like Lilith, except the eye color maybe. Her hair was brown and a bit, unkempt. She was squinting at Sylas in mild annoyance. "Yes?"
He paused, dimpling at her easily. “Hello, ma’am. I’m sorry to disturb you,” he said warmly. “I’m with a group from your daughter’s school that specializes in the repair of angel products; halos, wands, wings. As a service for our angelic students, we are updating halos; taking them to school, fixing them, before returning them to the homes of our students. Our records show that a Lilith Gold lives here?”
She frowned, crossing her arms. "Yes, this is the Gold residence, but we don't have anything that needs repair."
He nodded emphatically, his dark hair falling over his eyes. “Of course, Ma’am, but it’s not a repair service we’re offering, per sé. Some of our angels have complained about not wanting to wear their halo due to discomfort. We’ve designed a way to make them more comfortable for our students. We’re going around to all of our students.”
Her expression was thoughtful before she nodded slightly. "Alright then. I'll go get it." She left for a moment, before returning with the glassy hoop. "Here.. How long will you need it?"
"Oh, for about a week or so," he said easily, taking the hoop with gentle fingers. "We're gathering all of them for this week to ensure no further updates will be necessary. It may prove to be a bit irritating for Lilith, though; being without her halo for a week may feel like some sort of punishment."
