"You're really intelligent," he said simply. "And you write in your field guide and learn about people and things others normally wouldn't think about."
She frowned at him, tilting her head slightly. “That doesn’t mean anything other than I’m naive. Most people already understand the truths about other people and the world around them. I have to write it down to figure it out.”
