She frowned, tilting her head curiously. *** He looked over at her thoughtfully, his grey-green eyes soft as he considered her. “Hm. I’ll trust you.”
She beamed at him, reaching up and hesitantly brushing his jaw before dropping her hand. “Don’t be mad.” *** “You’re making some excellent arguments.”
He relented with a sigh. "I'm not mad." *** She shifted, lying on her back and resting her head in his lap. "I know."
“You seem mad,” she said pointedly, raising an eyebrow playfully. *** He looked down, brushing his fingers through her hair slowly. “Are you tired?”
"I am not mad. I'm perfectly content." *** She reached up and took his hand. "I'm okay being awake or sleeping."
She gave him a smile and opened her mouth to speak before a nurse came in. “Ms. Geller? We need to take your vitals.” *** His fingers intertwined with hers and he considered her before shifting, lying back in the bed.
He gave her a small smile. "Do I have to leave or can I stay?" *** She held his hand quietly, her expression thoughtful as her thumb brushed his.
“You can stay-“ she began before the nurse interjected. “Are you family?” *** He gave her a small smile, considering her. “What are you thinking about?”
“Then you have to leave,” she said, pointing at the door. Fina’s face fell and she looked over at Cas with a frown. *** He laughed slightly, his nose brushing hers. “I like you too.”
He gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, I'll come back." *** She grinned, watching him adoringly. "I'm glad I told you."
She nodded, giving him a small wave. “I’ll see you. Thanks for coming by.” *** “I’m glad you told me too.”
She gave him a smile and the nurse shooed him away. *** He closed his eyes, resting his forehead against hers.
