Fina frowned before offering the journal to Maverick. “See for yourself. He seem to be going kind of crazy towards the end. I don’t know if we’re gonna have similar effect, or if it was just, like, cabin fever.”
He took it, flipping through the pages, letting Theresa see as well. "Well.. Hopefully we won't be staying long."
"Well... if we're on Earth, maybe we could just... you know. Fly home via airplane or something," Theresa said slowly. "We'll look tomorrow. Are there more couches that we can sleep on, or is it the floor?"
“Great,” Theresa said flatly. “Mav, are you okay with taking the couch? I can take the floor.” Fina frowned, speaking up. “Theresa, that’s not right. I can sleep on the floor.” “And leave me sleeping in a bed with Cassian? No thank you.”
Cassian squinted at her, but said nothing. Maverick stretched. "That's okay, you can take the couch, Theresa. I can pretty much sleep anywhere."
She shook her head, looking out a window for a moment before turning back to them. "No, seriously. I'd rather sleep on the floor. If we get attacked, it's easier to gain momentum if you're sleeping on the floor."
Fina nodded, crossing her arms. "Sure. I think Monty and Theo already retired for the night and I think Sylas and Lilith are still in the living room."
He nodded. "Let's go pick a room." Maverick looked over to Theresa. "Are you sure you don't want to sleep on the couch?"
He went upstairs, going to look for a room. *** "If you say so," he replied, going to get some blankets. *** Lilith paused, looking around curiously before looking down at Sylas. "Sy? Let's go find a room."
She followed him. "Do you have any preferences?" * * * She followed him, beginning to search cabinets. * * * Sylas stirred, looking up at her blearily. "Hm...? Oh, okay."
He looked back at her. "No, not really. Any room will do." *** They found blankets and pillows to use for the livingroom. Maverick went to set his out. *** She shifted, slipping out from under him and standing, offering her hand.
She nodded before opening a random door. "How about this one, then?" * * * Theresa found some musty linens, bringing them back to the living room as well. * * * He took it, yawning tiredly before standing up to go.
He looked in before nodding. "Yeah, this works." *** He set his bed up on the couch, his head tilted. *** She went to the remaining room, sitting on the edge of the bed.
She went into the room, slipping her hands into her pockets and looking up at him. *** Theresa sat next to the fire, her brows furrowed as she stared into the flames. *** He looked down at her before sitting next to her, opening his arms.
He sat on the edge of the bed, looking up at her. *** Maverick laid on the couch, looking over at her. *** She hugged him, kissing his jaw.
